How we made 'How Earth Made Us'
We are over the moon at Unit with the recent success of our latest series for the BBC “How Earth Made Us” and wanted to share the news with you. It’s also reflected by the audience figures of 13.3% share: the most watched science show on BBC2 for 4 years. It’s also a testament to our tapeless workflow, as we had to re-edit the day before TX on the opening show, called ‘Deep Earth’, to keep it current with the recent news.
APA Recognises Unit
Two commercials post produced at UNIT have been recognised in this years 'APA Collection' which reveals the UK’s top 50 produced commercials.
We were credited with The Viral Factory for Diesel’s naughty viral video ‘XXX SFW’ and ‘Extreme Sheep LED Art” for Samsung LED TV’s.

Boudicca
UNIT has just completed the post production on a creative film for couture fashion label Boudicca. It will be used across all digital platforms to showcase their brand and distinctive design style.
Produced by Typhoon CP, the film artistically presents the construction of a dress around a bare mannequin. Live action sequences were shot using a unique motion control rig, and UNIT composited the footage before applying visual effects to embellish the finished product.

BBC Watchdog at Unit
UNIT has secured a major post-production deal with the BBC for the new series of Watchdog. Launching in September with a brand new format, the weekly, hour-long show, presented by Anne Robinson, will demand a quick post-production turnaround. UNIT’s fully tapeless workflow is perfectly suited to the complex post demands of this popular consumer rights programme.
“UNIT is committed to editing projects of a high quality and prides itself on the ability to deal with any format,” says UNIT’s CEO Adam Luckwell. “The commission is a testament to our hard work and we are thrilled to be working with the BBC again.”
