This powerful music video for the latest Hurts track ‘Ready To Go’, directed by Black Dogs Thomas James tells the story of a bereaved man at the wake of his partner.Artist Theo Hutchcraft plays the lead role and his grief is displayed in a choreographed sequence inter-cut with shots of his passionate relationship.
UNIT’s rising Colourist Adrian Thomas delivers a grade that reflects the emotion and grief against the reality of his loss. He comments “It was a beautifully realised piece and a pleasure to work on. We tried to keep the look filmic and contrast the flashback elements. Strong reds dominate in the club’s darkness, but the edit has a lot of clever echoes and transitions that we needed to bring together in grade.”
