Design Collective Spotlight > Dove Kintsugi

Inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, UNIT partnered with Dove to translate the philosophy of resilience into a distinctive visual language, spanning motion design and post-production.

Working across commercial, social, and digital platforms in collaboration with VML, the campaign combines layered textures, reflective surfaces, and intentional 3D motion to express the product’s repair-focused message. The result is a cohesive visual system that not only brings the idea of restoration to life, but also celebrates the product’s strengthening qualities.

We sat down with Matt Rowley UNIT’s Lead Motion Designer for a deep dive into the design work behind this spot.
