Management

Amanda Luckwell
Co-Owner & Executive Producer
As Co-owner and head of UNIT Film & TV VFX Department, Amanda has extensive strategic experience across creative Commercial, Film and Episodic work spanning nearly three decades. She carved her career as a Producer working her way up to Executive Producer at renowned post houses such as Cell Animation, Rushes, MPC, The Mill and Absolute before starting up her own live action & animation production company in 2011.
Amanda is greatly enthused by creative challenges with a passion for VFX and has a reputation for pushing creative boundaries. She has Exec Produced high-end VFX on feature films such as Bond, Gladiator, Tron, 28 Days Later, with directors Sam Mendes, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, Danny Boyle and Guy Ritchie.
Over the years, she has developed close working relationships with many of London’s top production companies and directors and has a passionate close working approach with a keen eye for detail, ensuring her clients are supported from start to finish.

Drew Jones
Director Film & Episodic
Drew’s career spans some of the most iconic VFX companies in the world. He was instrumental in establishing Framestore’s early presence in feature films, and later held senior leadership positions at MPC, Method Studios, and Cinesite. Overseeing large-scale productions and strategic operations across global teams, Drew has worked across many notable projects such as Harry Potter, Troy, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, various James Bond titles, Judy, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The WItcher Series, Matilda and Warfare, to name but a few
In addition to his leadership roles within global VFX studios, Drew has also spent significant time on the production side, working as VFX Producer and Supervisor across a wide range of high-profile projects. His credits include The Alienist, Bodyguard, Den of Thieves, and The Foreigner, where he liaised directly with directors, showrunners, and production teams.
This hands-on experience — combined with his background in strategic bidding, resource planning, and contract negotiation — has given Drew a rare 360-degree view of the VFX process. From front-end development to final delivery, he brings a unique ability to align creative vision with commercial realities.
Supervisors

Nuno Pereira
VFX Supervisor / IMDB / Showreel
Nuno joins UNIT with a wealth of experience, responsible for the technical and creative execution of several world class titles and commercials. He is also proudly holding nearly 20 years of experience in commercials, TV and Feature Films.
After graduating in Fine Arts, Nuno began to discover his true passion for creating outstanding imagery and watching an idea created into reality. With this spark, he began to pursue his career starting as a Generalist TD at Objetivo 49 in 2006 before honing his craft at established VFX and post houses across the globe including The Mill, MPC and Gramercy Park Studios where he became Visual Effects Supervisor.
Some of his Feature Film visual effects highlights include ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows part 2,’ ‘The Chronicles of Narnia;’ ‘The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader’ and ‘X-Men First Class.’
Nuno’s most recent work includes Amazon Studios series ‘The Rig’ and Netflix’s ‘No One Gets out Alive’ where he was the main Visual Effects Supervisor. His work on the series BBC’s ‘Supersized Earth’ and Sky’s ‘Britannia’ have awarded him an RTS and a BAFTA nominations respectively.

Paul Round
VFX Supervisor / IMDB / Showreel
With over 30 years of VFX industry experience on 80+ titles across Film, TV & commercials, including 3 bond films. Paul is what can only be described as an expert in using Flame, having used the system since its inception. During his career he has encountered and mastered every conceivable type of shot. His extensive career has honed problem-solving skills, often finding solutions that elude others. As a seasoned compositor with many years of on-set supervision, Paul excels in putting directors and DOPs at ease while also directing support and 2nd unit shoots.
Paul is adept at supervising in-house teams and collaborating with directors or VFX supervisors to develop and refine shots. One of Paul’s proudest achievements was working on a complex 5000+ frame split-screen shot for Alien Covenant, where David teaches Walter to play the flute (same actor). The complex scene was attempted and failed by two other vendors, prior to Paul taking up the challenge. Variety called it the “best shot in the film”, highlighting its compelling nature and seamless execution with a single actor, praising Scott’s unmatched production value.

Grant Hewlett
VFX Supervisor / IMDB
A highly experienced VFX Supervisor with over 20 years in the film and TV industry. From creature design to digital doubles, complex FX and compositing, Grant has built up a diverse and symbiotic skill-set that serves his abilities and production needs perfectly. Grant loves collaborating closely with other departments to support Directors in achieving their creative vision and enjoys the leadership role he plays during post production in leading creative and technical teams on the journey to bring the images to life. Running a VFX company for 10 years has provided experience and deep insight into heading creative teams and understanding the solutions to delivering cost effective, innovative and quality solutions.
Grant’s ultimate goal is to deliver the Director’s vision whilst supporting the story in a collaborative and supportive environment for all involved.
With extensive on-set production side experience in the UK, US and Worldwide for both features and episodic Grant has worked for Netflix, Amazon, Warner Bros, Universal, BBC and many Indie Producers amongst others.

Stephen ‘Huggy’ Henry
VFX Supervisor / IMDB
Stephen brings more than 22 years of post production experience progressing to CG Supervisor during 15 years at Absolute Post. Most recently, he worked with Manchester-based Realtime, a studio specialising in feature film and television projects, before joining UNIT.
Stephen’s long career has seen him work on numerous CG characters and creatures – working across well known commercials, music videos, and television series’.
Stephen has over two decades of experience delivering high-end shortform projects for some of the world’s most prominent brands. His commercial highlights include the H&M campaign directed by Baz Luhrmann, where he supervised complex 3D and CG elements, including full building scans and a demolition of a stately home, integrating live-action performances with intricate digital environments. On Adidas campaigns, he developed and executed detailed CG environments that brought dynamic, sports-inspired visuals to life, seamlessly blending real and digital elements. Working with Lidl, he managed the creation of full CG extensions and product integrations – balancing technical precision with creative storytelling to achieve impactful visuals under tight production timelines.
At UNIT, Stephen leads the multidisciplinary studio’s 3D department, overseeing project delivery, resourcing, and team supervision. He applies his expertise to elevate the studio’s established 3D capabilities, ensuring each project combines technical ambition with creative impact.

Olivier Pron

Olivier is a seasoned concept artist and art director with a career spanning over 25 years. He has been fortunate to lend his talents to esteemed projects such as “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which garnered him an Art Directors Guild Award, and “Dr. Strange,” earning him a nomination. Tom Wansbrough-Jones
Creative Director
Tom is a hands-on Creative Director with a deep passion for design and animation. With a core value of developing collaborative relationships with clients, Tom loves to get involved as a leader and an artist on projects that take complex and sometimes multifaceted ideas, turning them into visually stunning and compelling work.

Matt Rowley
Creative Lead
With over 15 years of experience in the motion design industry, Matt has worked alongside and collaborated with many of the biggest names in the business with major broadcasters such as BBC, C4, NBC, NHK DAZN and Netflix, Matt consistently turns round award winning, well received client work. A multi disciplinary motion designer working across a wide variety of project types Matt is equally at home designing pitch work and styleframes at concept level, or working as team lead across 2d animation and VFX supervision.

Mia Harvey
Producer
Mia joins with over 7 years experience across a number of acclaimed longform projects, including Apple TV’s Slow Horses Season 5, Sony Pictures’ 28 Years Later and Netflix’s animated series Wolf King.
Her career to date has seen her work at big name studios such as Union VFX, Jellyfish Pictures and Misc Studios, supporting complex productions and collaborating closely with other producers, supervisors and creative teams to deliver ambitious work on schedule.

Wil Male
Junior Producer
As a Producer at UNIT Film & TV, Wil Male brings a unique blend of creativity and sociability with his strong expertise in overseeing projects across the VFX and production lifecycle. With a background in music from Newcastle University, Wil initially aimed to become a sound engineer but quickly found his natural fit in production. After starting as a runner at UNIT, he’s spent 5.5 years growing his role and now brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Wil’s early experience in music and love for collaborative environments have shaped his approach to production, where he thrives on team-focused projects. His credits include Midas Man (VFX Coordinator), Ford CATG (Picture Post Producer), and Devil’s Promise (PA), alongside working on heavy CG projects such as Land Rover andFantastique Worlds. He has also contributed to VFX projects like Walkers Sensations, demonstrating his ability to adapt across various project types.
Wil is focused on delivering excellence throughout every stage of the project, from concept to client relations to delivery. He takes pride in building strong, supportive teams and ensuring that every project is executed with creativity and precision. Wil’s grounded, results-driven approach reflects his deep commitment to the industry and the teams he leads.
