UNIT FILM & TV
UNIT Film & TV opened in 2022 and offers full picture-post production and visual effects for features, high-end TV drama & comedy.
Our expertise lies in colour grading, conform, online & online VFX to complement UNIT Studios’ high-end VFX and CGI services. UNIT Film & TV boasts a fully integrated, craft-led, end-to-end offering, all under one roof. Our goal is to deliver “best in class” creativity alongside a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and the personal touch that only a boutique facility like UNIT can deliver. We are passionate about everything we create.
HISTORY
Unit opened its doors in 2005 as an Offline facility in Carlisle Street Soho. It was at the cutting edge of technology from the start and was the first company to use Final Cut Pro as a professional editing tool, backed by Apple’s Xserve shared storage.
It very quickly responded to client needs and in 2010 UNIT moved into a much larger building on Great Marlborough Street, offering Audio, Grade, VFX and 3D. A couple of years later it added a motion Design department, The Design Collective.
In 2018 UNIT expanded again, opening in Berners Mews adding 50 seats of Studio and starting to work on Film and TV VFX. Its first project “Britannia” was nominated for a BAFTA.
UNIT added TV Picture Post in 2022, which has been a huge success and has just doubled in size.
UNIT moved to a brand new 8 storey facility in Fitzrovia, on Margaret Street in 2024 adding two further Grade Suites.
In September 2024 it adds UNIT Labs, to once again stay ahead of the technology curve, this division will focus on Virtual Production, AR/VR and AI.
